I normally find myself wanting to tear my eyes out when watching music documentaries. Slow zooms into b/w photographs. Loads of library footage of people walking around because it happens to be filmed at the same period.

Scorsese's tend to be good though I think. Apart from that Stones concert he filmed, which stank of American liquid cheese.
