Murfie: eBay, iTunes and Amazon in one.

toffeedaz [Edit] [Delete] 16:53, 11 October '11

Just seen this on NPR website:

http://www.npr.org/2011/10/10/141209843/wis-business-hopes-to-help-break-the-cd-habit

Some are using Murfie to sell or trade their CD collections. Others have Murfie rip their music, which costs a dollar per album to download. And some are just storing their CD collections for $12 a year

It's an interesting cocept and I'm surprised nobody has thought of it before.

I also think it could catch on given they estimate 15 billion used CDs collecting dust in the US alone.

I think it's only available in the US at the moment:

https://www.murfie.com/

Thoughts?

Will it catch on?
Is it a good idea?
Should we ditch our CD collections if they're just collecting dust and move with the times?
