Got into an argument over Kings of Leon

DirtyBurger64 [Edit] [Delete] 13:43, 8 November '11

I was there last night talking about the Irish festivals over the summer. We didn't go to any but I was telling him that we should go to the electric picnic next summer. He said that he wasn't really interested and that the bands at Oxygen were better. I told him that that wasn't true at all. In fact, the headline acts at the Electric picnic are nothing short of brilliant. Modest Mouse (The Moon and Antarctica = best album of noughties), Sonic Youth (Daydream Nation excellence), Interpol, Bloc Party. Then he said to me that Bloc Party weren't that good and that they're only support for Kings of Leon at Oxygen one year.

My heart broke. I flipped. All these legendary bands with their classic albums not even slightly acknowledged by anyone. Has music really become this emotionally detached in this modern day and age?
