The pre-internet days of queuing for hours to get certain gig tickets /albums

roastthemonaspit [Edit] [Delete] 10:00, 25 November '11

Did you ever wait in line for hours for certain gig tickets / album releases when it was a bit more of an event and didn't involve a few clicks on a computer?

I remember my sister getting up at 3am to go and queue for tickets for Oasis at Wembley Arena (one of which was for me, I stayed in bed being 12 and all) and pretty sure she was in line for hours to see Suede launch 'Coming Up' at Virgin megastore at midnight.
