Hello! I have something of great potential coming up, regarding a big vocal opportunity & I was wondering if people could help me choose a couple of classic songs/artists for some recordings I have to make? I can only think of obvious ones such as:

Peggy Lee (Fever)
Julie London
Nina Simone
Ella Fitzgerald
Billie Holiday
Carmen Mccrae...

If you could recommend anything then please do! An obscure one in a selecton of classics would hopefully stand out a little.

And no it's not for kareoke, and I do write my own music too before you all climb up on your horses!
