Off the top of your head, can you name a song which has such a gaping chasm in quality between the single version and the album version? On the one hand, you have the best thing they've ever done. On the other, you've got probably the weakest single a singles band has ever released. Like, why bother? Weren't there enough 3 1/2 minute generic indie tunes on that record for you to use instead?
