'Laziest River' by Destroyer (bonus track from 'Kaputt' vinyl) is pretty dam impressive isn't it?

Violator [Edit] [Delete] 21:58, 12 December '11

Holy shit...

I was quite prepared for this to be a 19.58 monstrosity and a real exercise in self-indulgence but no way - this is quite special.

It was on the vinyl release of 'Kaputt' (and the deluxe iTunes version). It's made of 5 parts apparently but it plays as a seamless whole.

Prelude (4:17)
Nagel’s marimba (4:28)
The Laziest River (3:51)
Palm Springs Life (3:17)
Landing On Water (4:10)

It's like something out of Blade Runner or a Vangelis soundtrack for the most part (which is good since Kuedo is pretty much one of my favourite tracks of the year), accept for when it kicks lose in the middle section and that's glorious.

Has anyone else heard this?
