I was near to feeling like that after listening to the first 50 of the 100 NME "Bands of 2012" on Soundcloud. Not naming names, but stage school smokey-eyed fashion girls, flip-flop spit it out like an unwanted pickled egg at the chip shop hip-hop and washed-out fey American log cabin rock do not make me a happy boy. There have been bands which I like, but they're the ones who sound like Shed Seven. Quite worried about whether I actually deserve to own CDs or a pair of ears now.
