This week my listening was mostly dominated by the amazing new albums by Field Music and Nite Jewel. I'd never even heard Field Music before about a week ago but Plumb is amazing. Expansive, ambitious pop songwriting. The Nite Jewel album is incredible pop music, kinda sticks her finger up to NNF by skipping the hazy filters and making a straight up 90s R&B album.

New Patrice & Friends is gonna get a lot more time this week. Such a good guy/band/whatever.

Also had one of those moments when I put Calling Out Of Context [by Arthur Russell] on in the first time in an age and remembered that it is basically the best album ever recorded by anyone.
