This is amazing.

"Walter Benjamin Skin (November 21, 1943 - February 27, 1976) was an American musician and puppeteer born in Park County, Wyoming U.S. He is known for his honest vocal style which combines elements of spoken word and free-form singing. Widely unknown throughout his life, Skin disappeared for several years after his most successful and final album was released. He was later found dead in a hotel room in Brooklyn, New York. He was 32 years old.

Most of Walter Skin's recordings have been lost or corroded due to the cheap manufacture used in their pressing, except for one notable bootleg live album entitled 'Live at Sid's Bar, Santa Fe'."

Reminds me of, more recently, Perfume Genius's 'Learning'. Never actually heard anything quite like it, though.
