Music Social More…

how decade-centric is your music collection?

forzaborza [Edit] [Delete] 00:01, 2 March '12

roughly, obv. (unless you're one of the music board mentals).

just had a quick count. roughly as follows...

2010s - 9%
2000s - 40%
90s - 18%
80s - 23%
70s - 3%
60s - 5%
50s - 1%
40s - 1%

quite happy with that. obviously music improved greatly in the 80s. any earlier than that, the Beatles stuff aside, Nick Drake, and the odd other thing, i can take or leave pretty much everything between the classic 40s crooners and the birth of real independent music in the early part of said decade.

PS - there are no indie point for having broader tastes. in fact, 50 bonus points to whoever's music collection is most one decade specific.
