airborne music, anybody?

johnnyforeigner [Edit] [Delete] 02:32, 14 March '12

a few of our south african friends have been talking this up lately:
http://get.airbornemusic.com/

I tried googling for some third party opinions but couldn't find much, i guess it's pretty new. Does anyone here have any experience or thoughts on it?

i don't mean, as something for jffffff, just in general; it seems like a simple/clever/fair idea and as good a model as any for the brave new music industry our grandchildren are going to inherit; sort of like a singles club writ large.

the big flaw i think, is that you could sign up to band X, legitimately dl their entire back cat for your $1, then unsubscribe. but surely they must have thought about this. maybe you sign up for a fixed term like phone contracts. idk. it seems exciting and i'd welcome your more cynical/less stoned opinions plz.
