posting links to songs and get all poetic/pretentious about them

incandenza_ [Edit] [Delete] 19:12, 22 March '12

all up in this thread.

whenever I get excited about a song, I get the urge to write words about the sounds I'm hearing, comparing them to other things. and then to say them at people.

it'd be nice if people would post links and get impressionistic and florid about them.

do as I do.

this one is redolent of a slowly deserting city square in the pastel embers of a hot & busy spring day winding down.

the beat is the gently bustling pitter-patter of gradually scattering city folk, footsteps, locking doors and shuttering shops in subtle dubby echoes across the deserting cosmopolitan topology, disappearing around corners and down alleyways.

the synth tones are the lowered conversational tones of the retiring few, weary and tinged with residual, weathered disillusionment, coloured with the trickling of a fountain-based water feature and the calls of passing urban ornithological life.

and in amidst, pervasive yet unobtrusive, the whisps of rising air, pealing off into the hazy blue/grey/orange sky.

lovely bit of minimal.

do as I do. go forth and descant with great verbosity.
