Inspired by the U2 comment in the overrated thread.

Y'know, the ones who are absolutely huge, but in indie circles/DiS at least are unfairly at odds with public opinion and are actually quite good (or at least have done stuff in the past which is nowhere near as bad as everyone seems to make out).

Red Hot Chili Peppers (yes, they're generally shite, but every album has at least 2-3 good songs).
