Inspired by the "albums you've never heard..." thread and one comment about producers, and also by the Cribs' selection of Steve Albini, I wondered who are your favourite producers, and why?

Mine would probably be Alan Moulder, involved as he was with MBV's Glider and Tremelo EPs, Curve's albums, Siamese Dream, The Downward Spiral and Fever To Tell.
