Becoming a (radio) DJ

mug_mug_mug [Edit] [Delete] 18:36, 26 September '05
The uni radio station is looking for people to do shows and I thought it would be fun. The problem is, I have to pitch it to them and 'i'm going to play a lot of good records that I enjoy' probably isn't enough to sell it.

Really I would like to play lots of different styles from different decades. I'm not sure if they'd like that though.

Any ideas?

Do you think I should loosely base it around one thing? For example floatypostrockcinematic stuff, heavy etc. I would like to do a postrockyaddayadda show but that has the potential to bore everyone to tears.
