hello.

did a search and any results for this were a few years old so i thought that they might be a bit outdated.

basically i'm looking for a bit of help building a home recording setup without spending an absolute fortune, mainly just electric guitar sort of stuff, and was wondering if anyone on here had any advice on what equipment to buy and how to set it all up.

i'd want to run it into a macbook pro with garageband, so keep that in mind when advising and please assume that you are explaining the whole thing to an idiot because i'm an absolute beginner with this stuff.
