The Imminent Demise of Hydra Head Records

soapy [Edit] [Delete] 20:46, 13 September '12

Has there been a thread about this sad news?
Does Sean have a crack team of writers working on a series of retrospective pieces about the best artists, albums and the labels influence on music of the last (almost) 20 years?

The only two good things about this blogpost is the news that the label will continue to exist to keep the back catalogue from falling into the abyss and that in the next few months they'll be putting together cool sounding bundles of oddities, merch and releases.

I know it's not a commonly held opinion, but Jesu are probably my favourite Hydra Head artist. But just think of who they've put out- Isis, Pelican, Cave In, Jesu, Old Man Gloom, Discordance Axis, Kharnate, Zozobra, Xasthur, and more!
