Since seeing Roller Trio on the Mercury list this has been bugging me.

Why isn't jazz covered on sites like these as much as it should be? We all liked the ridiculously jazzy Flying Lotus album, but I've only heard of three jazz albums this year, all of which sound bloody great, the Roller Trio thanks to the Mercurys, The Troyka album thanks to an old music teacher of mine and TrioVD thanks to the BBC Website review of the Troyka

tl;dr Is there a lack of Jazz coverage when it would obviously be popular?
