remix albums - what's the point?

ethricdouble [Edit] [Delete] 13:56, 13 November '12

following on from the bjork thread...

how do you feel about em? have you ever heard a good one? are remix albums killing music? safety wink?
they seem pretty pointless. nobody ever likes them outside of one or two tracks p'raps. remixes which are significantly different to the original seems sorta beside the point and as such few ever hold any surprises. the ones that are pretty similar to the originals but slightly more bangin' seem equally useless.

<seinfeld>what's the deal with remix culture?</seinfeld>
