Bridge Over Troubled Water

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 15:23, 5 January '13

I can't think of a title track to an album that is more at odds with the rest of the record.

I respect this song and appreciate its appeal, but I really really don't like it. I struggle to listen to it, especially the string arrangement at the end. It reminds me of the Phil Spector 'Long and Winding Road', which again, I can't do with.

The rest of that album is the opposite of that tune. Experimental, diverse, far more Simon than Garfunkel. I've only recently started appreciating it fully, and it's their best one by miles. But I've deleted the title track from everywhere.
