Was anyone else hoping for Bowie to stay retired?

tunewaffle [Edit] [Delete] 12:49, 22 January '13

I do love David Bowie, but I thought he was a fine example by quitting before he became a figure worthy of mockery, like Brian bloody May, turning up on every TV programme, and doing a solo on songs by Dappy & Gaga, or Paul McCartney, turning up to sing songs at every main event and forgetting the words to them. I thought Bowie was rising above the urge to be relevant and rather enjoying his retirement with his young child and supermodel wife.

I don't really like Where Are We Now, it's a bit too melancholy, but I hope he can deliver the goods with the rest of the album. I do, however, admire how he managed to keep the whole thing secret, in this modern age where everything leaks well ahead of its release.
