Music Social More…

Noel Gallagher is to play a gig with Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon (not just on the same line-up, but actually in the same band).

Noel has taken over control of the Teenage Cancer Trust series of gigs at Royal Alber Hall. As well as the usual/expected bands that are playing (Kasabian, Weller etc), on the night Noel's playing he'll be joined by special guests including ALbarn and Coxon.

As someone whose introduction to music was the Blur vs Oasis battle (I sided with Oasis) i'm really excited by this.

I've no doubt the actual result will result will be fairly crap, but seeing Noel involved in the cover of a Blur track (Country House, maybe) or Albarn/Coxon involved in an Oasis cover (Roll With It) would be fun. I don't know if this is what they intend to do, but as it's a charity gig so you never know.

It's been sold out for ages though and I imagine tickets are going for a fortune on ebay/viagogo/seatwave etc.

Hmmm, interesting...
