Albums of the First Half of 2013

sean [Edit] [Delete] 12:15, 18 June '13

We're nearly at the half-way point of the year, and as most websites will soon be dispensing a list of their favourite albums of the first half of the year, I was curious what you lot were all loving.

Feel free to share yours as a top 10 list or however you like. I'm going to do mine as a set of awards:

The Predictable Five Favourite Albums of The First Half of 2013
1) Paramore - Paramore (gets more more-ish with every listen)
2) Ed Harcourt - Back Into the Woods (I wouldn't have released it if I didn't love it)
3) Foals - Holy Fire (just when you thought they'd go off the boil post-Spanish Sahara, they go and make one of the lushest albums of the year. The production is especially delicious.)
4) Nick Cave & the Badseeds - Push the Sky Away (strangely subtle, but it kicks your heart like an invisible mule)
5) [currently undecided, might be LOW or maybe Jon Hopkins... feel like I've forgotten something obvious]

Two Great Records Which Didn't Get the Attention They Deserved
1) The Veils - Time Stays, We Go (Badseed fans, head over this'a way...)
2) Darkstar - News from Nowhere (psychedelic-step?)
