Learning the lyrics before seeing a band live

GoatmeatMF [Edit] [Delete] 10:07, 2 July '13

Sitting down, putting an album on and going through the booklet to make sure you're going to get every word right when you're roaring them out in the pit (or whatever delivery/situation is applicable)

The last time for me was Marilyn Manson's Guns, God and Government Tour in 2001. I was probably too old for it by then really. Still, went through Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood albums in the days leading up to it, imagining how it was going to be. Those were the days. (and also the last time he would ever be great)

When was the last time you did this? Do you still do it, and who would you do it for?

Have mp3s and the lack of booklets killed this? (one for Sean). Surely looking up lyrics on lyrics.com on your ipad is no substitute for the real thing (and I can't imagine anyone does this)

There's no shame in this, is there?
