and some cassettes

mostly, it's because i'm a bandwagon jumping narcissist, but there are also these reasons:

- they look cool
- lots of cool bands release tapes
- tape releases seem to be cheap

i'm a bit weary, though, because i got a vinyl player back when they were cool a few years ago and it turns out (a) vinyls scratch really easy and (b) are about a million pounds and (c) they don't actually sound that good and (d) it makes it a load of effort to listen to cool music etc

i would mostly be buying lo-fi indie pop records, african pop and possibly noisey droney type things (though only from socialist record labels, sorry mate).

does anyone have any comments wrt cassette players? h8rs keep quiet, please
