It seems as an internet music publication you can go two ways: Either a highly personal blog style that values opinion and individual experience above all (DiS)...or a more clinical, "algorythm" style that values objective criticism and using perspective in analysis (Pitchfork).

There's such a large volume of music blogs around now...that the first option will eventually get swallowed up. How long can DiS last in it's current iteration? Are the boards keeping it afloat?
