Match of the Day musical concept
Bear with me on this one.
Ok, I was listening to Slint today, who combine _music_ with _talking_ to tell a story. Soon after I watched Match of the Day and I think i've found an untapped reservoir of musical greatness just waiting to be exploited.
The new analysis style brought in for this season features Graham Le Saux (or equivalent) _talking_ about the game and tactics and whatnot with _music_ in the background. It sounds good!
We need a whole album of this. Every week an album of highlights. Just listen to it next time you're watching and tell me that it won't work. After every couple of points you could whack a nice harmonised chorus in to tie the 'song' together. For example 'MAN U THREEEEEEE...SUNDERLAND ONE ONE ONEEEE eeee on eeee on' or 'Goooooaaallkeeeping errorrrrs' or something like that.
