Last night I went to Metro, and I saw a band, and they happened to be ACE. Actually, I saw two bands, and they both happened to be ACE. But then I knew they would. I had faith in my musical choices.

Anyway. Forward Russia were brilliant last night. That's the first time I've seen them and they are worth the hype in my opinion. Loads of energy and some fantastic bass-tastic shapes that made my leg do some dances on its own. Just one leg mind. Movement at gigs in London is strictly frowned on, so I had to do undercover dancing.

And then The Robocop Kraus. Who are brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. The frontman is the exact midpoint between Kapranos and Paul Smith, and I suppose they sound a little bit in the Maximo Park area of bands. If I have to make a comparison, that is. Anyway. They're more than worth making time to see. Happy jerky indie pop, played with smiles and sweaty t-shirts.

Great night out. I even got to see Crablin, who gave me a new DiS badge. What more can you want from a night out?
