So I drove up to good old amsterdam yesterday for a day of fun and to catch Clap Your Hands say Yeah at the PAradiso in the evening...

They were pretty good but I expected better. They opened with a great new song, then played a couple off their album, than another newish one. Then they had trouble with the drums so the singer did a new one entirely solo. It wasn't a great song but I can definately imagine him doing a solo record sometime in the future, and it will be great. They followed by other songs we have come to know than did an electro/rock number thingy which reminded me of "!!!". It was great. Finally another new one to finish the set, this one was quite boring, It didn't have their usual "touch". They then came back for two more...

All the songs were played well, sound was good and everything but the whole thing lacked a little something (enthousiasm maybe? no chit chat between songs, only silence) and they didn't play "Clap your hands" which is a terrible shame...

Hope for those going that they'll be better at the upcoming london gigs
