The Arab Strap Glasgow gig was both fantastic and hilarious

johneeboy [Edit] [Delete] 13:54, 29 November '05

For some reason the lesser mentally equipped gig goers at Arab Strap gigs in Glasgow think they are fair game for an ongoing slagging match and in between songs fire nonsense at Aidan. In retaliation Aidan does his best Widow Twankee, spits the dummy and informs the few amongst other things “I’ll break your fcking face for you. Ya fckn prk “Why pay to see a band then ruin it by shouting nonsense. It’s like buying a Pizza and shting on it before eating it, when asked to play a certain song “Fck off there’s a jukebox downstairs, also when one guy shouted Aidan play Birds he said “I blame the fckng Internet. Just cause you know my name and are on our message board doesn’t mean I’m your mate and am suddenly going to play you a song. So for the last time shut the fck up

This reads as if it was all friendly banter. Some was, a lot wasn’t. When he said he was break the guys face he was raging. Some of the people were reacting to whatever Aidan spat back at these dudes as if he was Richard Pryor. That was a bit sad.

The gig musically was awesome.
