Rock n Roll

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 16:15, 9 December '05

Is it 'dead' these days, for you?

I'm talking about actual Rock n Roll. Not the very general term used for 'gutiar music'.

The bands that were the best at it are obviously constantly regarded as 'legends' like The Beatles, The Stones, The Who etc.

But for bands that do it now, like Jet, Oasis, Razorlight etc., they seem to be pretty much not liked at all by the DiS crew.

Is it basically just because you think the band is shite, or do you just not like the kind of music?

Personally, I really cannot understand the use of Jet as a comparison... to negative things. I love sticking their record on every now and again, skipping only 'the Vodafone Song'.

So what is it? Why do none of us like today's rock n roll bands?
