After noticing that just about everyone seemed to be saying how great The National are and how the new album is the best thing ever or such I picked it up the other day. I've only listened through once but I can just about see what's to like about it.

It sounds a lot like the first record by The Walkmen crossed with a bit of The Red House Painters though not quite as good as either of those but it is good (just not AMAZING so far).

The lyrics are a bit stereotypical indie-rock poetry in points but that's my only real complaint.
