Misty's Big Farce

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 10:48, 2 March '06

Saw them last night in Manchester.

Has anyone else seen them live? Dreadful. Terrible. They made this teeny-pop rock band called 'Astro Boy' look brilliant.

My problem with them was the fact they saw themselves as something else. They obviously strive to appear arty and unique, but they really fail. They have this bloke in a red dressing gown, covered in blue gloves stitched to it. He dances around and jumps off the stage, walking around the crowd. A lot of people found it hilarious, but I really couldn't see the funny side.

Anyone in the North West seen the adverts for the window company, 'Safestyle UK', with the little fat bald guy, shouting? The singer more or less IS him. He had a bunch of 'random' objets, he used on the mic, like a twisting wisk, a children's animal noise maker, a megaphone and a 1920's bicycle horn. His lyrics were very poor, attempting to be outrageous and cool. Lyrics about bands ripping off Britpop and getting dropped after their first song... He also sang the hymn:

"All things bright and beautiful,
George Bush will kill them all"

Everyone else went mental. I just looked bored.

Does anyone here like them?
