Has anyone heard them?

I mentioned their song 'la berceuse d'eve' in the 'sad songs' thread because it's one of the most fucking beautiful things I've ever heard.

they focus on songwriter scott chernoff surrounded by a loose collective of montreal avant/jazz musicians (some of whom are in godspeed, most notably thierry amar, godspeed/silver mt zion's bassist - who co-writes some songs).

The overall feel is of someone playing some immensely slow dusty old songs surrounded by these lonely old ghosts of arrangements. a definite constellation records feel to it all. world weary/angry lyrics. they're just wonderful.

'a slow messe' is their best album. though as a double cd it might be a bit much. the most recent 'trouble a jinx hotel' is almost as good. probably easier to get too.
