Over the past couple of days I've listened to Contino Sessions by Death in Vegas and Psyence Fiction by UNKLE. Now, these are both good albums in my opinion, but I can't help but feel that the best ever guest musician album will always fall short of a great album by a single operating unit (solo artist or great band)

I think its because its difficult to carry a vision through the whole album when the personnel are changing for every track.

Other great guesting albums? (obviously the desert sessions deserve a mentiaon here?)
