For the unitiated, they are a group of musicians and dancers who met in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1982, basically created their own instruments, and then set about melding avant garde electronica with traditional African beats. SERIOUSLY, check this out.

And buy the last album "Congotronics", it is amazing.
