Last night at Purple Turtle in Camden.

WOW.

I've waited almost two years for the chance to hear '...Generation...' live, and it didn't disappoint. All of the songs last night sounded HUGE (although aided by a backing tape, which did slightly take the sheen off the whole effect). Slightly Concretes-esque, a little pinch of the Raveonettes, and all in all a forty minute demonstration of the exact midpoint between exciting punk and Phil Spector soul.

The bassist is also quite clearly the coolest man in the entire universe.
