Having previously been left bemused at the adulation thrown at a 'slightly above average' indie band (my words), I can now concede that I was wrong

Now, I'm aware I'll get lynched for this on here, but they're really not that crap are they? I mean, they're not re-inventing the wheel or owt. But it's not that hard to understand why a nation full of MP3-grabbing MSN-ing teenagers rate them so highly. From the stuff I've heard (about five or six songs - I don't own the album), they all seem fairly catchy tunes with witty(ish) lyrics

Don't get me wrong, I wont be hitting ebay to grab gig tickets any time soon, but I think I may have been a tad unfair with writing them off so quickly. I'm pretty sure that if I was 16 I would have been swept up in all this hype too. Still, there is something wrong about seeing middle aged men jumping around at their gigs
