I have been listening to Deep Cuts and Silent Shout for the last week or so. I normally avoid these two week wonder type bands like the plague but I borrowed the CDs from someone that has a trustworthy face.

To be honest I am a little meh, eh? and? about the new record, I understand to be Silent Shout, that everybody is talking about, but Deep Cuts is wonderful. Lovely songs and a deeper soul than the new record.

Am I wrong, has anybody lived with these records for longer? I am just confused that they will be bound to be in the fucking Observer Music Monthly in six weeks time as the next big thing on the back of an album that is half as good as what they have released before. Not the first time that will have happened, I suppose.
