iPods: Ultimately good or bad for music?

dove_from_above [Edit] [Delete] 17:39, 1 May '06

Obviously I'm using iPod as the most recognisable example of all MP3 players, but I've been thinking about this over the last couple of days

Are they good or bad?

There seems to be a trend amongst a lot of people to simply download 'the hits', which can't be a good thing. And has the rise of downloads affected whole album sales? I don't know the answer to this, hence I'm asking

But then, I guess a lot of people have fallen back in love with music due to the accessibility/popularity of iPods. So this can only be a good thing

I'm pretty much rambling. And there's tons more crap I could bore you with. But I'd like to know what other people think

GO!
