If you've got tickets for the NME New Bands Tour,

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 13:26, 13 May '06

ask someone to pay you half so you can watch two of the bands.

I only saw three Long Blondes' songs, and they were brill. None of the crowd was moving for them at all. BUT, they have a song where the singer and the man have a natter at the end, and its really gay.

Then The Automatic came on, and they were quite pathetic. This crap group of people at the front right next to us went crazy for them, and tried getting ring-a-ring-a-rosies going, but it didn't work. Probably because the band were so bad. Some people found it funny, the fact they had a song where they repeatedly sing something like 'A MONSTER IS COMING'. They have a little man and he has a severe lack of a neck.

Forward Russia are so good live. They make the others look crap simply down to the effort they put in. They try their best and it pays off.

Boy Kill Boy... Have I lost faith? They were just THERE last night. They had no presence other than to make noise. No-one knew their songs they were playing so it was even worse when you couldn't make them out from eachother. I spent their set in the little student cafe, alone, sipping lemonade. How beautiful.

Also, guess who got interviewed by X-FM Manchester whilst the Automatic were on?

Also, did anyone else there notice the strangely large amount of old people there? Or the clinically obese dancing man? THAT was entertaining.
