I can't bring myself to make the perfect mixtape

nice_squirrel [Edit] [Delete] 00:33, 19 May '06

right, I make A LOT of mixtapes. And, of course, I love all the songs I put on them. But I've never made a compilation on which I've put ALL of my favourite songs. The songs I really REALLY love make me feel very intense and excited and...yaargh, and I think if I listened to them, all in a row, there would be TOO MUCH intensity, and I'd probably explode, and the mix just wouldn't work. Does this make sense? Or am I being silly? Is it possible for a compilation to be TOO good?

In case you're interested, this mix would definitely contain:

End of a Century - Blur
Shady Lane - Pavement
Bloodbeat - Patrick Wolf
Mellow Doubt - Teenage Fanclub
Jonathan David - Belle and Sebastian
Hello Kitten - Hefner
Do You Remember The First Time - Pulp
Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts - Wolf Parade
The Outdoor Type - The Lemonheads
The Shy Retirer - Arab Strap

and more, but I feel exhausted already!
