Firstly, the DJ at the Dead Meadow gig on Saturday was probably the best I've heard at any show so mad props for that. Anywhoo...he played this insane 10 minute(ish) song which went from psychedelic eastern-tinged folk to a full-on ragga mindfuck and when I asked what it was, he told me it was Screaming Jay Hawkins. I've heard the name before but a brief search of the ol' net hasn't proved too fruitful as it seems his albums are out of print. Does anyone know otherwise and if so, where's the best place to start?
