New Pearl Jam album is so bad that I'm taking it back to the shop for a refund. Expertly played (isn't muso level musicianship the last refuge of the burnt out?), delicately produced, but they've run out of ideas, and run out of real feeling to deliver those ideas with any kind of impact. Most of the time they're relying on Who-style guitar chops, which is weak in the first place. It's a two track album, three at best. They're leaving on a bum note.
