Nobody's Perfect

oceanRain [Edit] [Delete] 06:30, 26 June '06

Scary Monsters had me thinking Bowie could do no wrong. Dave owned the 70s and I was sure each successive would bring joy to my heart as sure as the sun rises in the East.

With Let's Dance I figured Bowie was just giving RCA a big Fuck You, giving EMI the album RCA always wanted. Then Tonight came out and I found myself wandering the backstreets of Tijuana intoxicated and confused, the planet suddenly off its axis. When Never Let Me Down came out, and had my hero riding through one of the track's video on roller skates, I was sure it was the first sign of the Apocalypse. And if it weren't for a French Canadian bird to divert my attention, I'd have surely committed suicide.

Bowie isn't alone. Ian McCulloch put out a single called September Song, which was bad enough. But the B-side, Cockels and Mussels, is maybe one of the worst songs ever put to tape.

The Dandy Warhols new album, Odditorium, is atrocious. Just bleedin' awful.

But enough about me and mine:

*Your favorite band released an embarrassing shitty (set of) tune(s) and your fellow DiSers want to know what it is! (Or if they don't I do!!)*
