Which band got you into 'alternative' music?

tom_from_sparks [Edit] [Delete] 20:34, 26 June '06

I saw Sean's comment in his thread about the Kooks being a good gateway into alternative music for kids, and it made me curious about which band got you into more 'alternative' stuff?

For me, it's SFA. I got hooked by their pop-tastic singles like Hermann loves Pauling and Do or Die, only to find out that there's so much more to them. SFA were the main reason I listened to Lamacq and Peel so I could hear more stuff like them and that journey still goes on today!

Do you still like the band then which 'converted' you? I do still love SFA.
