By one artist. There are some horrific ones (Duran Duran covering 911 Is A Joke comes to mind) and some rather good ones (Garage Inc at points, Pin Ups at points).
I'm currently listening to Twilight Singers' She Loves You, which is bloody great. The covers of Too Tough To Die, Hyperballad and Black Is The Color Of My True Love's Hair are just so outstanding. I guess it has to do with the artist doing the covering, cos Greg Dulli just seems to have the knack of being able to take someone elses songs and make them his own.
