I just had a look on the Idlewild website and in Roddy's latest diary entry it says Gavin has left and they've been joined by the former Astrid bassist.
I love Idlewild. Great tunes no matter heavy or mellow and Roddy is the ultimate dude, without even trying.
I saw him backstage at V last year and he was just a legend. Hence me running up to him, being lost for words and just ending up saying "...I'm a big fan of the band."
It's fair to say there are cooler things I could have said, but I think he appreciated the sentiment.
