One of the reasons that, during the last couple of years, I have retaken a keen interest in contemporary guitar-based music is that so many bands are ransacking the very early eighties for influences, riffs, production style, etc. It remains my favourite epoch, musically, though I suppose for most people what they enjoy when they are 16-18 remains their favourite.
